True Story Brands is a South African inspired hospitality group by restaurateur and entrepreneur Justin Anthony. Focusing on sharing the lifestyle and experience of South Africa, bringing together food, wine and community, the group encompasses three iconic Atlanta dining destinations, including 10 Degrees South, Yebo Beach Haus, Biltong Bar and The Cape Restaurant & Beach Bar. Beyond simply serving remarkable food and drink, True Story Brand’s mission is to take people on a culinary safari, showing them the best of South Africa food and culture. This philosophy of being welcoming, kind and inclusive is best summed up in a uniquely South African saying — JUST BE LEKKER.
Originally born and raised in South Africa, Justin relocated to the US at age 23. In 1998, he opened the first South African restaurant in the United States, 10 Degrees South, alongside his parents, Derek and Diane. In 2012, Justin opened Yebo Beach Haus and in 2015, he debuted his third restaurant, Cape Dutch. Biltong Bar is Justin’s most recent addition to the group, opening in early 2016, specializing in dry, aged beef jerky. Justin and his wife Kelly, renowned interior designer behind Wolf Design Group, currently live in Atlanta with their dog Dempsey.
